Methodology
Sources, match meaning, and update cadence.
This site publishes a military-code-first view of the O*NET Military Crosswalk for five skilled trades. It is a thin hub. Full career guides live on Military to Trades.
Data
- Military mappings: O*NET OnLine Military Crosswalk, compiled into trades-core release 2026-11-04 (
military_crosswalk.json, 42 rows). Metadata checked 2026-10-30. - Wages: BLS Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics, May 2025 national file.
- Growth and openings: BLS Occupational Outlook Handbook profiles, 2025–35 projections.
What a match means
A listed code means O*NET associates that military occupation with the civilian trade. It is not a credential evaluation, license, hiring decision, or automatic apprenticeship credit. Always verify with the destination trade's licensing board and employer.
Indexability
Pages ship only when they carry several unique, dated facts (code, title, branch, trade match, BLS wage and/or projection). Thin variants stay noindex, follow and out of the sitemap.
